As supporters chanted for the Hoops to sign a player during the win against Auchinleck Talbot, their verdict was only backed up by what they saw on the pitch.
At the time of writing, only one signing has joined and on the basis of last weekend’s showing, three or four will be needed.
Even Martin O’Neill appeared to take a pop at the board when discussing transfers, but Lennon seems to be the only one who backs the current regime.

The former Celtic manager was part of the punditry team for Premier Sports’ coverage of the Scottish Cup win against Auchinleck.
Transfer talk was on the cards again and Lennon came out swinging for the board by claiming that they will back the 73-year-old before that 2 February deadline.
He said: “I think Martin needs players in, and I think he will push for that. I wouldn’t say demand it, but he has made it clear what he wants from the board.
They will be his players, not Paul Tisdale’s and not Wilfried Nancy’s, because that has had to change since Martin came in.
“Now he’s going to bring in players, whether that’s loans or signings, to get Celtic over the line for the season.”
Time is ticking for the Celtic board
We’ve heard it all before from ex professionals or close associates of the board but it is time for those in suits at the top to put their money where their mouths are.
Dermot Desmond has a war chest that could be spent and really enhance the current options within the squad.
In terms of finances, they can afford to spend big and not feel the pinch.
They’ve told us time and time again that they care about the club. Let’s see if they do.
