The 2025/26 campaign could usher in a very different-looking Wolves squad — and one of the club’s top earners might be next in line to leave Molineux.

Head coach Vitor Pereira has kicked off his summer rebuild with the signing of Fer Lopez, but much of the early action in this transfer window has been about departures rather than arrivals.

Despite a surprise resurgence last season under Gary O’Neil, where Guedes featured 33 times and contributed 10 goals and assists combined, his long-term future at the club remains uncertain. Most of those contributions came early in the campaign, and there’s still a sense that the Portuguese international isn’t fully settled in the Midlands.

Last year, Flamengo were linked with a move — but fresh interest has emerged from Turkey. According to reports from Takvim, Besiktas are now keen to bring the 28-year-old to Istanbul, with new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly adding Guedes to his summer shortlist.

Talks are expected between the Turkish giants and Wolves, as Besiktas assess the potential terms of a deal and prepare a serious push to land the winger.

💸 Time for Wolves to Cash In?

Though Guedes showed glimpses of quality last season, there’s a growing feeling that Wolves may be better served moving him on. Since arriving from Valencia for £25.7 million in 2022, Guedes has racked up 51 appearances with 7 goals and 6 assists — but has never truly looked like a long-term fit.

Now reportedly the club’s highest earner at around £90,000 per week (via Capology), Wolves may view offloading him as a smart financial move — especially with Fer Lopez now onboard and attacking reinforcements on the radar.

While parting ways would mean accepting a financial hit, clearing that wage off the books could give Wolves more freedom in reshaping their squad for the season ahead.
