Today’s developments indicate that Sociedad are preparing an official bid, with Brighton reportedly expecting to finalize his sale this week. The Seagulls are open to letting Julio leave, as he is no longer a key part of their plans. After falling down the pecking order this season, Brighton has already bolstered their defense with the signing of Diego Coppola.

A move to Sociedad would offer Julio more consistent playing time, which Barreto believes is the driving force behind the transfer. “If he joins Real Sociedad, it’s to be a starter. He wants minutes.
