MusaJelle ten Rouwelaar has been appointed as the new goalkeeping coach at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Head coach Fabian Hurzeler expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Jelle is an exceptional coach, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team. His extensive experience in European and Premier League football makes him a valuable addition to our coaching staff. We’re excited to start collaborating with him.”
The 44-year-old brings a wealth of expertise from both club and international football, having recently been at Leicester City since November 2024.
Renowned for his work with top goalkeepers in the Netherlands and Belgium, Jelle has built a strong reputation for nurturing talent and introducing innovative training techniques. His previous coaching roles include stints at NAC Breda, Anderlecht—where he worked with Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen—Burnley, and Manchester United, as well as coaching the Dutch U-20 national team.
As a player, Jelle made close to 500 appearances for eight clubs, with nearly 400 of those coming for Breda during his long career in the Netherlands.
