A punter celebrated an almost £39,000 win after Max Aarons’ last-minute goal for Rangers.
The full-back’s stoppage-time strike against Livingston on Sunday ensured a 2-1 win, securing Rangers‘ first Scottish Premiership victory of the season.
This goal also sealed the fate of a William Hill customer, who turned a £30 stake into nearly £39,000, thanks to an eight-fold accumulator bet.
The winning bet predicted all eight matches would see both teams score, without a draw as the final result.
Aarons’ goal, along with a stoppage-time strike by Kasimpasa, ensured the punter’s tip was spot on, resulting in a £38,754.18 payout from the 1,291/1 accumulator.
The spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “On a typically busy Sunday slate of football, one customer has managed to well and truly pull a rabbit out of the hat to win over £38,000 from eight winning selections in a £30 accumulator.
“With dramatic late winners for Rangers and Kasimpasa to land the 1,291/1 acca, it’s a truly inspired punt, and not the kind of thing you’d see every day, so hats off!”
The winning bet details are as follows: Livingston vs Rangers – Both Score No Draw – 11/8; Aston Villa vs Fulham – Both Score No Draw – 7/4; AC Milan vs Napoli – Both Score No Draw – 9/5; Köln vs Stuttgart – Both Score No Draw – 11/10; Cercle Brugge vs Gent – Both Score No Draw – 5/4; Rapid Vienna vs Austria Vienna – Both Score No Draw – 8/5; Konyaspor vs Istanbul Basaksehir – Both Score No Draw – 6/4; Rizespor vs Kasimpasa – Both Score No Draw – 13/10.
The total stake was £30, with total returns of £38,754.18.
