MusaRangers have had a quite crazy 2025/26 season so far, but Danny Rohl has stepped in and stabilised things, and now fans at Ibrox are dreaming of winning the league title once again.
A shocking start saw Russell Martin sacked as manager just months into his reign, and the German has come into the side, stamped his authority on the side and helped the team climb up the table, where they now sit just six points behind league leaders Hearts and in a great vein of form.
The club are now ready to back their man in the transfer market, and the arrival of Andreas Skov Olsen on loan for the rest of the season could now see the end of another player’s Ibrox career.
Rangers Set to Sign Andreas Skov Olsen
New attackers were made a priority this month for Rohl and Rangers, as they look to find a way to score more goals and push up the table. Mikey Moore, Djeidi Gassama, Bojan Miovski and Youssef Chermiti are the current options that the manager is relying upon, but that is a major issue.
Moore is a teenage loanee, Gassama has been inconsistent with form, Miovski doesn’t seem to fit Rohl’s style of play and Chermiti has failed to convince fans and anyone around the club that he’s a long-term option.
However, a deal has now been agreed for the club to bring in highly-rated winger Skov Olsen to bolster the squad, and that could well mean the end of Rabbi Matondo’s time at the club. Rohl confirmed that a move is being worked on, and expects it to be completed.
I’m not a good poker player, yeah. But now we are in the process, it looks very positive. But as long as it’s not confirmed and everything is through, then I cannot tell you too much. But, yeah, let’s keep working like we did by the last two signings as well.
The Wales international has featured for just a single minute this season, coming on as a substitute in stoppage time during the win over Aberdeen last weekend. A long-term injury saw his time at the club extended in the summer, despite a move away being mooted for much of the window, but he has failed to break into the new manager’s plans too.
It’s clear that he has no future in Glasgow, and the arrival of Skov Olsen now further cements that.
Rabbi Matondo’s Rangers Career is Over
Despite his electric pace being a big help in the past, it’s never really worked out for Matondo at Ibrox.
The fans have never taken to his inconsistent performances, his injury record is horrific and he will now fall even further down the pecking order once the Denmark international’s arrival is formalised and completed.
A permanent move away from Rangers is best for all parties, and the club now have two weeks to get a deal done.
