‘Outstanding’ Everton target could light up Hill Dickinson after exciting Ronald Koeman verdict

‘Outstanding’ Everton target could light up Hill Dickinson after exciting Ronald Koeman verdict

Everton haven’t yet signed any players this month, but fans may be hoping to see one target brought in after what Ronald Koeman said in 2024.

There are just over a couple of weeks remaining in the transfer window for Everton to get some new faces through the door.

So far, most of the talk has been about a new right-back coming in.

There have also been striker links, with Everton in talks to sign Youssef En-Nesyri on loan – although competition is strong.

In recent days though, Everton have also been linked with a move for Noa Lang.

Lang is not a striker but a forward, and Napoli are said to be looking to offload him this month.

It’ll be interesting to see if anything transpires, but a verdict from Ronald Koeman may have some Evertonians hoping for a move.

Ronald Koeman is a big fan of Everton target Noa Lang

Former Everton manager Koeman, of course, is currently the Netherlands’ national team head coach.

Therefore, he knows a fair bit about Everton’s latest transfer target. And what he said about the star in November 2024 may be of interest to some Toffees fans.

Amid claims Lang was difficult to manage, he said as quoted by Mee Met Oranje: “On the field, he is very important. And I only look at what happens on the field.

“(After Lang released a rap song) Whether he makes a song that is number 1 or 30 – for him, that is distraction where he feels comfortable, he should continue with that. I am impressed by what I have seen of him this week. Not that I’m surprised, because I knew it. But he is definitely a player for whom you go to the stadium.

“He’s a great guy for the group. He trains well, plays well and is fortunately fit again. He is a player with extra qualities, for a trainer it is nice to have him there.”

Everton need a player to bring Hill Dickinson to life

A move this month for Lang is perhaps unlikely, given there are a couple of positions that are more pressing for Everton.

But quite possibly, this could be one to watch in the summer, especially if Jack Grealish doesn’t end up signing permanently.

The previous verdict of Koeman is very positive. It’s always exciting to hear that a player is worth paying money to watch play, as it indicates they have flair and perhaps do things a bit more unconventionally.

Indeed, Total Football Analysis have previously stated Lang has ‘outstanding dribbling abilities’, which further indicates Lang is box office.

Everton do have one player at the moment who falls into this category in Iliman Ndiaye.

But Lang could be another exciting addition for the Toffees, and we’ll see if something can happen in 2026.
