Mitchell has been with Crystal Palace for his entire career, coming through the London side’s academy, and making his senior debut in 2020. In the 158 appearances he has amassed for the Premier League club, the 25-year-old has established himself as one of the most exciting left-backs in England.
This has attracted several League One clubs to Selhurst Park, with Mitchell’s contract expiring in 2025 – and Man United among them.
The Red Devils have been struggling at left-back for a long time, with Luke Shaw unable to stay fit and continuing to suffer setbacks.
If the Manchester club decide to sign Mitchell in 2025, they will face competition from several clubs, the latest being Galatasaray, who have become wary of the full-back contract position at Palace.
Galatasaray is keen to add Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell to its squad in 2025.
According to A Spor, Galatasaray are keen on Mitchell and have already started the process to sign the 25-year-old before the January transfer deadline. The Turkish club released Lucas Digne from Aston Villa in the summer and it seems they are keen to address their problems at left-back.
Crystal Palace are unlikely to sell Mitchell mid-season due to his importance, but the defender could agree deals with foreign clubs for the 2025/26 campaign from January onwards, given that he will be a free agent.
It remains to be seen whether Mitchell will leave Selhurst Park for free, and if he moves to Turkey, his situation will be similar to that of Crystal Palace legend Wilfried Zaha.
